We will introduce the methods and procedures of ultrasonic flaw detection inspection by Actis Co., Ltd.

Our ultrasonic testing of gas pressure welded joints follows JIS Z 3062 (Ultrasonic Testing Method and Evaluation Criteria for Gas Pressure Welded Joints of Deformed Bars for Reinforced Concrete). For setting the reference level, the gain value of the ultrasonic testing device is established at the base material of the rebar using the two-probe transmission method. During the testing operation, the gain value of the tester is increased by 24 dB from the reference level setting, and a reflection echo of -24 dB is used as the pass/fail judgment level. If an echo above this level is detected, it is deemed a failure. 【Procedure for Testing Method】 1. Setting the reference level (two-probe transmission method) 2. Increasing the gain value by 24 dB 3.
